How To Edit Campaign Templates in ThreatCop?

TSAT offers a range of features, including the ability to edit existing templates. This article will guide you through the process.

To edit a template, ensure it is categorized under "Custom Templates," as only custom templates can be edited. If you need to modify a system template, you must first clone it before making any changes.

Go to Templates in the left side menu, here you can see all the available templates including System, Custom and Community templates.

For selecting a template to edit, click on "Filter" option in the right corner and select the "Template Type", Language",  "Attack Vector " and "Template Category". And click on "apply" once the above options are selected.




Now, you can choose the template of your choice and follow the below-mentioned steps to edit it according to your preferences. 

  • Click on the template, which you want to edit, and you will see a right panel with few options like - Edit, Delete, Clone, Test Template and Create Campaign




Clone 


This option will create a copy of the template. It also allows you to edit the chosen template. 


Delete


To delete the selected template from "Custom Template" Section.

Test Template 


You can send test emails to check the flow  and design of the templates.

Create Campaign


It allows you to straight away create a campaign with the selected template. 


Edit 


Click on "Edit", to edit the Template. Now you can edit the below details : 

- Campaign Template Name


Enter the name of the template, you are creating.


- Campaign Template Category


You can also choose from the wide list of categories depending on the type of campaign template you wish to create. 


- Languages


 You can choose the language of your template from the list. Although, this option is simply for labelling purposes. 


- Types of Simulation


Choose from the four types of simulation option - Simulation Attack, Simulation Attack+ Training, Awareness Training, Gamified.


- Attack vector


This field is not editable, as it determines the template’s categorization within a specific vector. If you need to change the vector, you will need to create a new template within that category.



Once done, click on “Go to next”


Next window is the Email Template. You can make the necessary changes in the email template, email subject or click on “Go to next” if you do not wish to make any changes.




Similarly with Landing page - You can change the landing page URL, landing page  template and click on “Go to Next”. 

You can directly click on “Go to Next”, if you do not wish to make any changes.



Next window is Attacker Profile, if you wish to make adjustments to the Sender Name, Sender ID, Domain, Header Key, Fake CC Email, you can edit it here.

Once done, Click on “Go to next” to save the changes.  



A preview page will appear next, you can review all the changes here. Now, you have three options to go ahead:


  • After making changes, you can refresh the page by clicking on the "Refresh Icon" to view the updated template and its details.

  • You can run a test campaign by clicking on “Test Campaign Template Email” to check if the template is working properly. 

  • You can create a campaign directly from the “Create Campaign” option.

  • You can click on “Finish” at the bottom of the page to save the template for later.
