How to Use Investigate Tool?

TDMARC is a Global Cyber Alliance certified outbound email authentication monitoring and anti-spoofing tool. It is designed to offer protection against domain forgery and prevent advanced email-based attacks. Along with this, TDMARC helps in increasing email deliverability and boosting email engagement rates.

TDMARC provides you with full insight into your organization’s email channel. It offers an Investigate Tool that allows you to assess your email ID’s deliverability and analyzes the DMARC policies associated with it.

Steps for Using Investigate Tool

For using the Investigate Tool, follow the simple steps given below:

Step 1:       Go to the TDMARC Dashboard and click on ‘TDMARC Tools’.

Step 2: A new window will pop open. Click on ‘Email Assessment’.

Step 3: Copy the email ID mentioned on the screen.

Step 4: Send a mail to the copied email address from the email ID you want to analyze.

Step 5: As soon as the email is sent, your email ID is analyzed and the results appear just below the copied email address. You can click on ‘View Details’ for a detailed report.

What does a Detailed Report Include?

A detailed report includes the following:

  1. The detailed report shows the analytics of your domain’s SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records. It analyzes all the SPF, DKIM, and DMARC policies set for your domain and lets you know in case any reconfiguration is needed to enhance your email deliverability rate.

  1. It thoroughly checks your domains’ DMARC policy record, authentication, and alignment to ensure fraudulent entities can’t misuse your email ID to send malicious emails.

  1. It checks your domain’s SPF and DKIM records to verify its IP address and validate the email in email traffic.

  1. It checks for Forward-Confirmed reverse DNS (FCrDNS), which is a networking parameter configuration where the given IP address has both forward and reverse DNS entries that match each other.

  1. It offers information on various threats to your domain and ensures that your email address is not a part of any Spam-based Blacklists.

  1. It checks whether or not your domain’s TLS version and SMTP email server are secure. The tool also analyzes any URLs attached in the mail to check for any malicious activity.
