To run a phishing
simulation on Thunderbird and ensure the emails land in the mailbox, you need
to whitelist the sender ID.
1. Add the sender to your address book: Any email address that is in your address book is automatically whitelisted.
2. Adjust your Junk Settings: Go to Tools > Account Settings > Junk Settings for the mail account. Enable adaptive junk mail controls for this account.
3. Do not mark the mail as junk if the sender is in your address book: Under the option 'do not automatically mark the mail as junk if the sender is in', select the address book.
4. Move new junk messages to the appropriate folder: If you're using POP, select 'Junk folder on mail account name'. If you're using IMAP, select 'Other' and then the Junk/spam folder on the IMAP mail account.
5. Save changes:
Click on OK to save changes.
