Allowing a Safe Sender and Domain in Microsoft Defender (Spam Or Junk)
This guide is for administrators. When a legitimate sender or domain is being quarantined, add them to the allowed list in the anti-spam inbound policy so their messages are always delivered instead of being sent to quarantine.
Steps
In Microsoft Defender, open Show navigation, then go to Email & collaboration > Policies & rules.
Select Threat policies, then Anti-spam.
Open the Anti-spam inbound policy (Default), or the relevant custom inbound policy if one exists.
Click Edit allowed and blocked senders and domains.
Under Allowed > Senders, click Manage allowed senders (or Manage senders).
Click Add senders, enter the sender email address, then click Add senders / Done.
Under Allowed > Domains, click Allow domains (or Manage allowed domains).
Click Add domains, enter the domain, then click Add domains / Done.
Click Save to apply the changes.
Note: Once saved, messages from the allowed sender and domain will always be delivered and will no longer be sent to the quarantine folder. Changes may take a short time to apply across the service.
