How to Customize the Background and Border of Certificates

Background Certificate

The Background Certificate feature allows administrators to customize the layout, background, and border style of course completion certificates. This ensures certificates align with organisational branding.

Steps to Customize Background Certificate

1. Go to Templates under the Other Menu in the TLMS dashboard.



2. Select the Certificate Template you want to modify from the Certificate Templates list (e.g., Course Certificate, Quiz Certificate).

3. Click the Edit button under the Action column next to the chosen certificate.


4. Customize the Background and Border:
- Change the background colour, or
- Upload a custom background image (preferred dimensions: 1500×902 px, up to 1 MB).
- Select whether you want a border (With Border / No Border).


5. Click Save Changes to apply updates.
- A confirmation message will appear: Certificate Template has been saved successfully.


Note

Always preview the certificate before saving. Using high-quality images within the 1500×902 px / 1 MB limit ensures clarity.
