How to whitelist Threatcop in GSuite


Whitelisting IP Address


This process allows emails from specific IP addresses to bypass spam filtering.


Step 1: Go to https://admin.google.com/


Step 2: Select Apps -> Google Workspace -> Gmail -> Spam, Phishing and Malware

Step 3: Select your organization (ex. Kratikal) from the options, do not select Organizational Units


Step 4: Edit your Email allowlist.



Step 5: Enter the IP addresses you need to whitelist and click on save on the bottom-right of this box.

Whitelisting a Sender Domain


This process allows emails from specific domains or subdomains to bypass spam filtering.


Step 1: Go to https://admin.google.com/


Step 2: Select Apps -> Google Workspace -> Gmail -> Spam, Phishing and Malware

Step 3: Got to Spam and click on configure on the right side of the Spam section.

Step 4: Select Bypass spam filters for messages received from the following domains/subdomains in selected lists. Either use an existing list or create one


Note: - If you select option as Create or edit list, it will take you to a new window follow the steps below for creating new list:


Step 1: Click on Add Address List

Step 2: Enter a name for the list, enter the domain you want to whitelist, click on add address to add the domain to the list and click on save to save the list, then go back to the previous window.



Step 5: When you click on Use existing list, you will be provided with options to select the list you want to bypass spam filter, select then exit the small window and click on save.

Note: - Be sure to name your configuration before saving as it will not save otherwise, you can find the naming section right at the top of the Add setting window


Whitelisting Inbound Gateway


When your users receive a simulated phishing email from Threatcop, banners may display in Gmail that say, "This message seems dangerous" or "Be careful with this message". To prevent these banners from being displayed, we recommend that you add our IP addresses as inbound gateways.


To add our IP addresses as inbound gateways, follow the steps below:


Step 1: Go to https://admin.google.com/


Step 2: Select Apps ->Google Workspace -> Gmail -> Spam, Phishing and Malware

Step 3: Go to Inbound gateway and click on edit (Pencil outline) on the right side of inbound gateway section.

  1. Ensure the Reject all mail not from gateway IPs check box isn't selected.
  1. Select the Require TLS for connections from the email gateways listed above check box.

  1. Select, Message is considered spam if the following header regexp matches check box. Then, enter a spam header tag that is unlikely to be found in a Phishing Security Test email. For example, you could enter random letters such as "kzndsfgklinjvsdnfioasm".
  1. Select Disable Gmail spam evaluation on mail from this gateway; only use header value check box.

Step 5: Click Save. This setting may take up to an hour to deploy to all your users.
